The self-VCr: a self-assessment survey instrument for company leaders

What is it?

The VCr rates listed firms using public datasets operationalized through SVC Metrics. The self-VCr is a webapp survey that allows executives, top management teams, and boards to confidentially assess their business models. It may draw on knowledge not meant to be publicly shared or tacit insights held by management teams, boards, and investors. Partners and other stakeholders can also be invited to take part, adding outside perspectives to a firm’s self-assessment.

How it works

The self-VCr survey instrument turns qualitative executive judgments into monetary-equivalent estimates of value transfers through selected SVC Metrics.

What it is for

The self-VCr supports transformational leadership, strategic capital allocation, and internal sustainability reporting. In short, it helps a firm to see where it creates value and where it relies on transfer-IN extracted from stakeholders.

Internal and subjective

Self-reported results can’t be compared across firms in the way that the VCr can, because any self-assessment introduces bias and inconsistencies. The self-VCr is strictly for internal strategic transformation and the results need careful interpretation.
